Doron Grinstein

Doron has dedicated his career to making the seemingly impossible achievable by helping teams build and scale cloud-native systems with minimal complexity. As a seasoned founder, CEO, and technologist, he possesses a deep understanding of what it takes to create massively scalable software.

In the 2000s, while working at Disney, he developed Keystone—a fine-grained authorization system that became an enterprise-wide standard. Recognizing its broader potential, he spun off the technology to create BiTKOO, where he successfully grew the company into a market leader before its acquisition by Quest Software in 2011.

Following this, Doron influenced enterprise software strategy as Chief Architect at Dell, led architectural efforts at Concur and SAP, and later served as Chief Software Architect for VMware’s Cloud Services Platform. At VMware, he identified a recurring issue: companies were wasting significant resources reinventing cloud-native best practices instead of focusing on their core business.

Motivated to address this problem, Doron co-founded Control Plane Corporation. He assembled a team of some of the brightest minds in cloud infrastructure—contributors to Kubernetes, Istio, Knative, and other vital open-source projects. The goal of Control Plane is to simplify cloud-native adoption, enabling organizations to achieve high levels of reliability and scalability without incurring excessive costs, labor, or distractions.
